A recent discussion was brought up on OTB League Discussion thread where a suggestion that would bring more uses to Waivers was made. And I quote "I have an idea that would bring more uses for Waiver Wire. My idea is, that if you demote a player that's been in the majors for 5years or more he is sent on to the waiver wire to see if any team wants him before he is demoted. A good example of this is Matt Garza on the Red Sox, he is in the minors when another team could have him as a 4th or 5th starter."
